Our approach

Our approach

Clients should understand the work and its cost from the beginning. Jacobson emphasizes honest business practices, comprehensive pricing, preparation, clear communication, and active project supervision. The same standards apply in the office and on the jobsite.

Clear pricing

Comprehensive proposals help define the anticipated scope and cost before construction begins.

Prepared execution

Planning, material decisions, site conditions, and trade coordination are addressed before and during the work.

Active supervision

Office and field teams stay connected through project coordination, homeowner communication, and final details.

Process

From consultation to completion

Six stages organize planning, pricing, coordination, construction, quality control, and closeout.

  1. Phase 01

    Consultation

Discuss the property, available plans, project goals, priorities, and expectations so the next steps are grounded in the intended scope.

A homeowner and contractor review a residential floor plan during a consultation.
  2. Phase 02

    Preconstruction & Estimating

Review existing conditions and construction documents, then prepare clear and comprehensive pricing for the anticipated work.

A contractor prepares plans and project estimates at a desk.
  3. Phase 03

    Planning & Coordination

Finalize the agreement, payment schedule, material selections, project logistics, and coordination required before mobilization.

A project checklist is arranged with plans and material samples.
  4. Phase 04

    Construction

Coordinate trades, scheduling, materials, field layouts, site meetings, and homeowner communication while work is underway.

A construction plan connects scheduling, coordination, and building materials.
  5. Phase 05

    Quality Control

Monitor the work in the field, address details as construction progresses, and coordinate required inspections and testing.

A completed home entrance is shown with a level and approval mark.
  6. Phase 06

    Project Completion

Complete the final details, closeout work, and applicable occupancy requirements with the project team.

Final interior detailing is represented by paint tools and a screwdriver.

Safety

Committed to safety

Safety begins with planning. Jacobson identifies potential hazards, coordinates work before construction starts, and expects the same preparation from its subcontractors.

Daily site coordination, proper equipment use, jobsite housekeeping, and OSHA-aligned safety practices help protect employees, subcontractors, clients, and their properties while keeping projects operating safely and efficiently.
